Mr. Inman teaches the Automotive curriculum at Dighton-Rehoboth. He attended New England Institute of Technology Automotive Program graduating with an Associates Degree in Science. Mr Inman proudly served 4 1/2 years (1994-1999) in the United States Marine Corps as an M1A1 Tank Crewman where he received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of E-5 Sergeant. Mr. Inman worked at BMW of Warwick for over 20 years on both BMW and MINI as a BMW Master Technician. He has held the positions of Team Leader, BMW High Voltage Battery Specialist and High Voltage Vehicle Specialist. Mr. Inman was most recently employed by Dalkia Aegis located in Holyoke, Ma. as a Field Service Technician repairing and maintaining CHP (Combined Heat and Power) units throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, California and Minnesota. He is currently an ASE Master Technician and also has Certifications for OSHA-10 and Section 609 Certification for Refrigerant Handling and Recovery.

Program of Study

Freshman Year: Students will learn and develop skills in basic automotive repair and maintenance through hands-on training and theory.
Sophomore Year: Students will study and practice entry level skills in all eight ASE certification areas to lay the foundation for more advanced instruction in junior year.
Junior Year: Students will receive advanced level instruction in all eight ASE certification areas.
Senior Year: Students hone their acquired skills through customer production in the shop and co-op at local employers to transition from school to the workplace or post-secondary education.

Additional Information

The Automotive Technology Program curriculum is evaluated and accredited by the ASE Education Foundation to meet current Automotive Industry standards. Upon graduation and future work experience, students may obtain ASE Technician certifications in eight automotive areas and may include their shop hours towards these certifications. Tech Prep articulation agreements with several existing colleges allow Dighton Rehoboth students to earn college credit for coursework completed in the Automotive Technology Program. Our Automotive Technology Program also takes part in Student Career Development through the ASE Education Foundation.
