The lacrosse program at DR began in 2015 as a parent funded sport, but as of the 2023/2024 school year lacrosse is now fully funded by the school district. The sport continues to grow in Dighton and Rehoboth due to its growing interest and feeder system with the youth league. DR Girls Lacrosse prides itself on creating a competitive and welcoming environment for their athletes, as well as fostering leadership and confidence in young women.
D-R Girls Lacrosse supports the nonprofit organization, Morgan’s Message. Morgan’s Message strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health. The team engages in experiences that help normalize conversations about mental health. DR Girls Lacrosse also helps fundraise for this worthy cause as part of our service to our community.
