Tickets are now on sale for The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School Theatre Company's production of Emma! A Pop Musical. Tickets can be purchased at https://our.show/drrhsemma Our Theatre Company is nationally recognized as a Premier Community for Theatre Education by the Educational Theatre Association and is entering this production in the Ocean State Awards. The show is an adaptation of Jane Austin's classic novel Emma and features songs of iconic female pop singers.

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of five of our musicians at the recent SE District Mass. Music Educators concert festival! Through competitive auditions, Mary Petitto (Chorus), Gabe McCrohan (Treble Choir), Harrison Baglini (Chorus), Kaitlyn Arguin (Orchestra), and Catherine Holahan (Treble Choir) earned the privilege of performing alongside top music students from the region. #WeAreDR! Yesterday, twelve of our DECA students competed at the district level in multiple categories. Four of our members placed in the TOP 5 of their category and therefore will be moving to the States! #WeAreDR! Caw! Caw!

Attention DR Alumni & Community Members, If you recall, the Dighton-Rehoboth District started the Strategic Planning process last year by developing the Portrait of a Graduate (POG). I am very pleased to share that the next phase of our Strategic Planning initiative is on schedule for a proposal to be made to School Committee in late May/early June. Both our Strategic Planning Committee and our DLT have christened this process “DRiving Toward 2030.” I want to salute all who have been collaborative in this process since the Portrait of a Graduate kicked off in the fall of 2022. Now, I am asking everyone else to consider participating. We are adding a few more subcommittee members who are alumni or live in our two towns. We are now at the stage of assembling subcommittees to build out the five foundational elements of the “DRiving Toward 2030” plan. Participating is optional; and in my opinion, it’s not a heavy lift. We are probably looking at a maximum of three evening meetings over a 4-month period. If you are willing to serve on a subcommittee, please take 2-3 minutes prior to January 9 at Noon to complete this Google Form. We will be creating subcommittees for each of the 5 focus areas (see below) and would like to know your top 3 subcommittee preferences. Please be sure to mark your calendar for Wednesday, January 24 at 6pm for our next in-person DRiving Toward 2030 meeting. Due to numerous road closures in our towns, I have concerns about elementary buses running after sundown. Therefore, we will have the following dismissals: High School at 1pm; Middle Schools at 2pm; Elementary Schools at 3pm. Champions will remain open. Families should be aware that delays are inevitable. A decision on after-school activities is forthcoming. Thank you for your understanding of this decision made in the name of safety.
